This weekend had Levetts going in all directions: Jenny to Wales to help with a vaulting competition where Ursie was competing, and Jaya, Noor, Josh and myself competing at Dauntsey. I also managed to squeeze in a days teaching in Cardiff, so the grass did not grow under our feet.

Dauntsey was, as always, a challenging course but well run and presented. Noor came home with the best results which was very satisfying. Josh had a tough day as he did super dressage tests on both ponies but then had issues in the jumping. It is hard stepping up to BE100, but I’m pleased to say Josh rode well and after a school over a XC fence at the end of the day (thanks Beanie) to show Josh he and Aussie could get over that fence it all ended on a positive note.

The weather also helped as the rain stayed away and it was really pleasant for eventing. On to France next week for my final three day of the year. I’m taking Tonto who had a good final prep run at Dauntsey, going confidentially around the OI. After Ligniere for us there will be a sense that the season is starting to get close to finishing,

Until next time,
