West Wilts Update

Heading home after a busy day at West Wilts. It was a nice day for eventing as it wasn’t too hot or too cold – sounds like we had the best day as tomorrow’s forecast isn’t that great.

We had six horses, with Josh and I having three each. We managed to come home with some nice placings, Mario (pictured) being the best winning his 5 year old section and Bambi also finishing in the ribbons with a 5th.

Jedi jumped a great double clear for Josh in the u18100Open section to come 4th and Smarty and Tommy came 6th and 8th respectively in the u18ON section, so all in all it was a very successful day.

They had had a lot of rain overnight so the ground was really good. Smarty looked particularly happy with him and Josh having a lovely round cross country. Thinking about Josh’s other two rounds, Jedi and Tommy were just as nice.

It was a family day out as Jenny came along to support both of us and Lydia did an amazing job juggling all the horses. Summer seems to be whizzing by – it won’t be long until school holidays are over.

We will be back out again eventing on Friday at Somerford so it’s a busy week. Until the weekend.

Cheers,

Bill
