I was back at Grange Farm, Swalcliffe today for some more cross country schooling – this time Mary and Issy came for a pre season spin on Bob and Bertie to blow out the cobwebs, and both girls went really well which was great to see. I also took JJ and Timmy again as they are still green and little and often will help them prepare mentally for their first season eventing. Both coped well and had learned and benefited from their experiences last week.
Alex, Sooty and Minty all went well and I was impressed as to how for each of them and their level of experience they seemed to slot back in the groove. This was very satisfying and it was a pleasure to take them out and ride them cross country – so once again I had a big smile on my face.
Tomorrow I’m off with some of the more experienced horses to do some show jumping off the place at Allenshill which I’m looking forward to.
