MR MACKENZIE NJ (Mac)
Mac spent 2010 gaining experience at BE100 level with Bill and Jenny. He is a very attractive horse with a balanced, athletic canter and a lovely jump. He is a sensitive person and likes his creature comforts, but he’s an easy horse to look after and enjoys attention from people. In 2011 Jenny rode Mac, progressing to Novice level and completing their first CCI* together and Jenny’s first CCI* for ten years! In 2012 they will continue to have fun at Novice level and tackle another CCI* if Bill doesn’t snatch the reins and take Mac Intermediate! |
BLUEBERRY NJ (Bluey)
Jenny rode him at BE90 level in 2010 and had fun at BE100 level in 2011. The plan is to do the same in 2012 and see what happens. |

Mac is a 16.2hh 10 year old skewbald gelding by Frinton, an American TB. Jenny and Bill purchased him from Theresa Harper who lives locally and had produced him from a young horse. Bill has given Theresa help with her horses on and off over the years, and Theresa has decided to scale back for a while as she has a young family.
Blue is a 15.1hh 8 year old appaloosa gelding with a colourful past. He thinks he’s 17hh and has a personality to match. Bill came home with him one day after visiting an old friend and in the beginning we all raised an eyebrow and thought what had he done! However Blue makes up for his height in personality and ability. He has lovely ‘big horse’ paces and a cracking jump. He’s still a baby and is very green and learning his manners but he seems to have taken to jumping cross country fences.
We have been lucky enough to be given on permanent loan Patch, an event horse belonging to the Kemp family. He is 15 years young and has previously competed up to two star level. Jenny and the girls will have fun on him – he’s a horse that enjoys his work and we are grateful to the Kemp family of the opportunity of having him.
Slipper is the Rolls Royce of second ponies. She is a 12.2hh 15 year old and we are extremely lucky to have her. She will be gearing back as she joins Team Levett as she has recently been competing with an 8 year old boy at one day events and hunting etc. Josh and Ursula will be getting to know her over the summer.
Toddy is a 12.2hh section A grey pony in his late teens who we’ve leased from the Williams family in Wales. There is not much Toddy hasn’t done; Ursula is the fifth little girl he’s taught to ride and he’s a very gentle fellow but can apparently also hold his own as a competition pony if we ever want to take things a little more seriously!
