IMPROVISE (Womble)
Womble is a 16.1hh 8 year old bay gelding by Master Imp. He was found in Ireland by Ali Butler, his owner, and has been produced so far by Ali and Chris King in combination. Bill took on the ride during the second half of 2010.
Womble has the typical Master Imp stamp in his overall look and in particular his head. He has the same eye/face as Chloe (Market Focus), an Advanced mare Bill used to ride who is the cover girl on the website. He also has the Master Imp cheekiness and talent in equal measure.
Womble had a good 2011 season, gaining in confidence at Novice level and successfully making the step up to Intermediate. He topped his Spring off with a double clear at his first CCI, finishing 14th out of 100 starters at Houghton CCI*. A good season was sadly marred by a fall in the water at Le Lion d’Angers at the CCI** seven year old championships which was very disappointing for all.
The goal in 2012 is to secure his CCI** qualification and then aim for some advanced runs while taking our time with what is a talented but still maturing horse.
Womble has been selected for the Eventing Futures squad for 2012 by Equestrian Australia.
