J W FARROW (Finn)
Finn is owned by Francis Birks. He is an 8 year old 16.2hh chestnut (there’s a lot of them on the yard!) Irish Sports Horse gelding by Brilliant Lad. Finn was found by Colina Pickles (who used to be our Head Girl for many years) soon after he came over from Ireland.
Finn has a great brain and is very correct in his confirmation. He is very trainable and easy to have around, he just gets on with the job and is ‘no fuss’ in his approach to his work and life! He’s a firm favourite with the girls on the yard.
During 2010 he learnt his craft eventing, progressing from BE100 to Novice during his first season. Finn had a good Spring 2011 season gaining further experience at Novice level and successfully progressing to Intermediate. He completed Blair CCI**, finishing in the top 10 around what was a tough cross country track, which was very pleasing.
The aim for 2012 is to consolidate his experience at Intermediate level and complete a spring CCI**.
