Going out showjumping certainly does make for some late nights…. I don’t know how the show jumpers do it, there is so much hanging around and uncertainty ahead of the day as to what time things will be happening – I am so grateful we have times for eventing.
Anyway…. we are trucking home from Hartpury after a long afternoon and evening with five horses in a few different classes. The girls, Dotty and Natty, earnt gold stars today after coming home with a ribbon each. It’s the second time Dotty has come 3rd in the newcomers and it was definitely worth registering Natty with BSJAÂ this week as she won the fox hunter. The boys were not far behind them though, as Sparkles, Womble and Alex all jumped lovely clear rounds too. I think the horses all seem to be getting more confident and it’s certainly helping me get my eye in.
There’s no rest for the wicked as tomorrow we are off to the gallops.
Cheers,
Bill
