Burnham Market – Day Three

Bill LevettThe day started bright and early at Burnham Market as Sooty was second to go in the CIC 2 star. Luckily the rain stopped overnight and the wind started to blow which helped with the ground first thing.

Sooty went very well, rolling one pole in the show jumping and jumping clear cross country. He was very good on his lines cross country, he’s a very genuine horse with a lovely big gallop stride. We secured his CIC2star qualification so he can now go to Houghton to do the CCI 2 star. So that’s all good.

Coco, Ricky and Hipp all show jumped next in the CIC 3 star and we had a bout of four faultitess! They all went well and I felt jumped really well out of what were difficult ground conditions so I was pleased, although it was frustrating to have the rails.

Alfie was doing his first advanced and tried very hard in the dressage scoring 35 and then also had a good show jump round which ironically seemed to go up from the 3 star to the advanced! He then was a top cross country, jumping a lovely clear round and securing his qualification. So a good day at the office.

Cheers,

Bill
