The boys were very good today and with the rain out here it made the ground good, if anything it could have taken a little more rain! The course asked a good few technical questions so if your horse did not want to hold his line there was plenty of opportunity for a run out. There were around 7 big wide fences some with related jumps after them.
For my boys it was a really good pre Saumur run. Both of them went well, clear and Coco on the time and Hipp just outside. I could have taken Hipp quicker but just decided to run him within himself as today was all about securing a qualification as his CIC is out of date for Olympic quailification.
Just as I finished the rain started so perfectly timed and tomorrow the show jumping is on a sand arena so let’s hope I can finish the job off well.
