Weston – Final Day

Bill Levett What a wet day. Weston was reasonably kind to us until Sunday showjumping and it was one of those miserable wet days. The ground was obviously quite soft in the showjumping and clear rounds were very hard to come by.

Unfortunately Alex had one down which dropped him from 3rd place overnight back to 4th but I could not be more pleased with how he went as he was really trying to jump clear. The thing that is really satisfying is he now has his 2* qualification and can now start working towards building up to advanced competitions next spring.

He came out very bright this morning so that gives me lots of hope for the future that he will be a horse that will be able to jump clear on the last day. He’s now earned his holiday and I feel very satisfied that he has had a very good last 6 months in terms of his competitions.

The only thing left now is for Silver to do the intermediate at Aldon and that’s the 2013 season signed off.

Its been a good year all in all competition wise. Will write further on my reflections in due course.

Cheers,

Bill
